Here is an ideal all-round signal beacon that no one should be without. The Emergency Strobe contains a brilliant pulsing white Xenon strobe visible for up to three miles, floats, and is waterproof to 15 feet. The light is 300,000 candlepower housed under a focused dome, and flashes 50 to 70 times per minute for 16 hours, then at a reduced rate up to 60 hours depending on the strength of the single "D" cell battery that you supply. Has a positive lock sliding on/off switch which makes it easy to use under adverse conditions; a built-in stainless steel locking pin for affixing to a PFD, belt, or pack; sophisticated electronics housed in a heavy duty case; and a spring-assisted inner base to insure constant battery contact during rough use. U.S. Coast Guard and SOLAS approved. Hunters, this is great for marking downed game... the super-bright flash will allow you to find your kill upon your return and helps keep scavengers away. Keep one in the trunk or glove box of your car for emergency breakdowns to alert oncoming traffic, or to make you highly visible if you should have to walk for help. ALWAYS carry one into the backcountry when hiking or hunting to signal for help, keep one in your aviation emergency kit, and attach it to your lifejacket or PFD when boating. PALight Plus Survival Flashlight
The PAL light is a cool new flashlight with many outstanding features. The white LED bulb draws minimal power, is unbreakable, and lasts virtually forever. This flashlight has 4 modes... in the "always on" mode, it will burn for 20,000 hours (over 2 years) on the included 9 volt alkaline battery; in "low" mode (adequate for most purposes, see up to 20 feet), it will last for 200 hours; in the "high" mode (see up to 100 feet, visible for over 1/4 mile), expect 20 hours before battery replacement; and in the "strobe" mode (visible over 1/4 mile), which flashes every 1.5 seconds, you'll get 200 hours. Cycle through the modes by pushing the button. This light is interesting, in that it is always on... a dim glow barely discernable in daylight, but makes it easy to find at night. I've found it to be very sturdy, as throwing it on a concrete floor and dropping it in a creek had no effect. This is the PAL PLUS model, which is twice as bright as the original PALight. We're also throwing in a separate, replacement bottom for the PAL with an adjustable-length lanyard built in... use it the way it comes packaged, or attach the new bottom case if you prefer the lanyard! Made in the USA, this flashlight carries a lifetime manufacturer's warranty, measures 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 1", and weighs just 3.5 ounces.
SafeSignal is SO cool! Use it in the daytime as you would any signal mirror, by reflecting flashes of sunlight towards potential rescuers (also makes a handy little camp mirror; after all, we don't want to alarm the bears with our mussed hair, do we?). SafeSignal works at night, too, by shining a flashlight beam onto the specially coated red side. This will create a super bright, red-flare appearance that can be seen up to three miles! If you've got SafeSignal and/or a Fox40 whistle, and there's anyone around at ALL, you won't be lost for long! Weighs 1.2 oz.
Safety Triangle w/ LED Flashers
The See Me! safety triangle is lightweight, compact, and lets your vehicle be seen by others when your vehicle is disabled. Has a total of 9 red LED bulbs that flash randomly (3 in each "arm") with the two AAA batteries that you provide. If you don't have batteries available, don't worry... the reflective red material on the front still provides great visibility! Measures 18" x 2 1/2" folded, and when you're ready to use it just unfold and snap together.
