Great Employees?!?!?!

Imagine that YOU were responsible for hiring all of the just over 500 employees at a very powerful, prominent organization... would you feel proud of your hiring skills, knowing that the following facts applied to those you'd hired?

bullet

29 have been accused of spousal abuse

bullet

7 have been arrested for fraud

bullet

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

bullet

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least two businesses

bullet

3 have done time for assault

bullet

71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

bullet

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

bullet

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

bullet

21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

bullet

84 have been arrested for drunk driving within the last year

GUESS WHAT?!?! You ARE responsible for hiring these people.... they are the 535 members of the United States Congress! This is the same group that cranks out thousands of new laws each year that are designed to keep the rest of us in line, and that determines how our money is spent (notice how many have sent multiple companies into bankruptcy?). Are these REALLY the folks we want to be in charge of our lives, our freedom, and our money????

If you're concerned about the antics of Congress, please support the Enumerated Powers Act,  H.R. 175 . This simple little bill would do only one thing...  require Congress to cite what section of the U.S.  Constitution any new law is authorized by! Does YOUR representative have the guts to stand up for this bill? Just ask them if they support it... if they won't, ask them to explain why, and then let the whole world know why your representative refuses to support something so basic!
