Cooking ACCESSORIES All of the things that make meal preparation, cooking, eating and cleanup a breeze! Products on this page... Camp
Towel <- Back to the "COOKING" page
A 12" x 30" towel that is so versatile, you won't want to be without it! Made of super-soft 100% viscose rayon, it absorbs 10 times it's weight, yet will wring out 92% of moisture, so it dries FAST! Great for taking a "sponge" type bath with NoRinse body wash, it will greatly minimize the amount of water needed. There are all sorts of uses for this towel... as a bath towel, washcloth, dishcloth, or potholder, in the workshop, at home to soak up spills better than any paper towel, as a chamois for your car, even makes a great emergency bandage! Easily cut with a pair of scissors to any size desired, you'll want to have several of these on hand. Washer and dryer safe, too ( to avoid excessive shrinkage, dry on low heat or air dry). Compare this in price to it's competitor, the PakTowel ™... the same material for LOTS less money! Weighs 2.4 oz.
Just like the camp towel above, but in a larger 14" x 40" size. This 100% viscose rayon towel absorbs 10 times in weight in water, wrings 92% dry, and has a multitude of uses.
NoRinse Body Bath is an excellent way to completely eliminate human scent and odor, while thoroughly cleansing the skin with a minimum amount of water. Most folks don't realize that No Rinse is also a great all-purpose biodegradable camp soap, and can be used for washing everything from dishes to laundry! NoRinse is used by all NASA astronauts on space missions, but it will work great for you in the backcountry or at home! Though the instructions say to dilute 1 ounce in 32 oz. of water, I've found that I get great results with as little as 8 oz. of water and just a squirt of NoRinse. The easiest way to use is to wet a Camp Towel, apply one squirt of NoRinse to the Camp Towel, rub the towel in your hands to get it sudsy, then wash. There is absolutely no rinsing required, it gets you clean, fresh and odor-free, and is not drying to the skin. This product is excellent for hunters who wish to eliminate human odor, and for campers, backpackers, hunters and anglers, hikers, quick clean-ups anywhere, invalids or others who cannot take a bath or shower for some reason, and for use where water is scarce or rationed. Available in handy 2 oz. travel size (or longer lasting 8 oz. size below), and both have an easy to use flip-up cap.
The same great NoRinse, in an 8 ounce bottle.
The old military-style can opener, also known as the "John Wayne", is still around and it still works! Great to keep on your keychain or throw in your "get-and-go" bag for emergencies. Works on any size can with a rim... use it today for Spaghetti-o's, canned veggies or stew, not C-rations! Measures 1 1/2" x 5/8", weighs 0.1 oz.
What to do when the handles fall off your pot, you want to handle a cake pan, or you've decided to go with just heating food in it's own can or a coffee can? Use this handy, lightweight pot grabber and you won't have to worry about burned hands or losing your grip. Lightweight aluminum pot holder opens like pliers and will securely grip any size pot, cake pan or tin can. 5 1/4" long.
Handy little salt and pepper shaker is just 2.25" long, plastic, moisture-proof, and tiny enough to fit in any pack, pocket, briefcase or purse. The ends screw on and off, so there's no chance of accidental opening, and it it unscrews in the center for fast and easy refills. Each compartment will hold about a tablespoon. Weighs 0.5 oz.
The classic 8 ounce capacity stainless steel sierra cup, used by hikers for years! The wire-type handle dissipates heat fast so it won't burn your hand, and the flared shape means you can use it as a bowl or cup. Smooth rolled edge is easy on the lips, and smooth stainless steel with no bottom corners makes for easy cleanup, too. Weighs 2.9 oz. The Sierra Cup has earned it's reputation as a "must-have" for anyone who goes into the outdoors!
Same as the eight ounce sierra cup above, but with a 16 ounce capacity, so you can enjoy a bigger bowl of oatmeal! Weighs 3.5 oz. Be a true minimalist and use your Sierra cup with the Esbit stove!
A very nice, lightweight set consisting of stainless steel knife, fork and spoon, all connected together by a handy little snap-open stainless steel ring. These are much, much better than the silverware sets that slide together (I had the slide-together type way back when I was in Scouts... I hated the little knobs sticking out of my knife that made it nearly impossible to hold, and the thing NEVER wanted to stay together. The sets where the spoon and fork slide down into grooves on the knife aren't much better). This is another quality product at a great price! The set measures about 5 1/2" long, weighs 2.2 oz.
BlueBuckets are a great idea for all kinds of storage. This lightweight but sturdy plastic "bucket" has a 9 gallon capacity, a strong, heavy-duty plastic lid with rubber gasket, and a metal ring that snaps it securely closed. BlueBuckets are watertight and airtight, float, and have large, sturdy handles on the side that make them easy to carry and easy to tie off to your boat or canoe. They're simple to store and stack, and the wide top opening (10" across) allows easy access. There are many, many uses for the BlueBucket... to store food, pet food, tools, water, as a bucket, as a bear cache, or to store camping gear, ammo, rope, anything you can think of! They even make a great chair! They also make a great container for your "grab-and-go" emergency kit. These are better than ammo cans (much lighter, no rust, larger capacity) and cheaper and easier than the "Gamma" lids. Use them around the house or on the boat, for storage in the bed of your pickup, on your next float trip, to cache gear or food, even to "wrap" your outdoor-loving friend's next present in; you'll love the BlueBucket! Order other items in addition to BlueBucket(s), and the BlueBucket will serve as your shipping container. Measures 20 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide, weighs 4 lbs., 3 oz.
PreventX Hand Sanitizer has many benefits. It contains NO alcohol, Triclosan or organic solvents, so it's non-drying to the skin, and also contains aloe vera to further soften and soothe. It helps heal minor cuts, burns and abrasions (FDA approved as a first aid treatment), and its germ-killing action lasts up to four hours. Contains Benzalkonium Chloride that kills 99.9% of disease-causing organisms, including Candida, E. Coli, Gonorrhea, Herpes I & II, Klebsiella, Psuedomonas, Shigella, Strep, Chlamydia, Gardnerella, Hepatitis B, HIV, Proteus, Salmonella, Staph aureus, Trichomonas and Serratia marcescens. It minimizes contact dermatitis, is fully compatible with latex gloves (put PreventX on before putting on your gloves for double protection), and is non-toxic and non-flammable. Other hand sanitizers are antiseptic, but the antiseptic properties are gone as soon as the product dries. With PreventX, the germ-killing action lasts for four hours, so that you're not re-contaminated as soon as you touch something! It feels good on your skin, like a very soft and silky gel, not harsh like alcohol based Purell ™; and it's fragrance-free too. You can even use it on work and table surfaces, and a little goes a long way... a spot just a little larger than a #2 pencil eraser sanitizes your hands. Great for kitchens, bathrooms, medical personnel, kids, anyone who handles money or deals with the public, and especially camping or anywhere that proper handwashing may be difficult. The 2 oz. size with flip open cap is handy to carry in pocket, purse or pack, while the 8 oz. pump size listed below is great for kitchens and baths.
Same as the PreventX 2 oz. size, but in a handy 8 oz. pump bottle. Great for kitchens and baths! For a limited time, get the 8 oz. pump in a bonus pack that also contains four FREE PreventX towelettes!
