Chemical Water Treatment Iodine and chlorine products to kill water-borne pathogens. Products on this page... Iodine
Tablets <- Back to the "WATER" page Tiny little iodine tablets used to ensure that water from questionable sources is safe to drink. You'll need to drop two of the iodine tablets into a quart or liter of water, then wait about 20 minutes before drinking. Iodine does not taste good, but it is much better than the ailments that can come from drinking contaminated water! We always recommend that folks use the SafeWater AnyWhere filter, as it will remove everything that you'd need to worry about in 99% of North American waters. However, those going overseas where viruses in the water may be a concern (places where people are using their waterways as open toilets and baths) are urged to use these iodine tablets in addition to the SafeWater filter. The SafeWater filter will remove the taste and smell of the iodine. Contains 50 tablets per bottle. 1.1 oz.
RediChlor tablets are just the ticket for those who are storing water in barrels or other large containers. Each tiny chlorine tablet is designed to disinfect exactly five gallons of water, so you know that you're using exactly the right amount. EPA and NSF certified for use in drinking water, these tablets are manufactured by a firm that cleans wells for a living. These tablets are much easier to store than liquid chlorine, and are easily portable so you can throw some in your "get-and-go" bag. 100 tablets per bottle, enough to disinfect 500 gallons total. 2.1 oz. NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE!
