Answers to common questions about placing an order with us.
Return Policy We stand 100% behind everything we sell. We operate under the Golden Rule... do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This policy has worked very well for us and we have a very low rate of returns. We try to offer quality products, and many of them have lifetime guarantees from the manufacturer. We strive to be honest and as complete as possible in describing our products. Sometimes we err, and even the best manufacturer occasionally turns out a "lemon". If something doesn't work, if you don't feel it's as advertised, etc, and it's within a reasonable time frame, we will gladly refund your money or replace the product. If you throw the product down a flight of stairs, use half of it before you decide you don't like it, wait a year or so to even look at or try the product, etc., then I'm sorry, we won't be able to help you. We will NEVER give, sell, rent, loan, trade, or in any other manner transfer any of the information that you give us to any other person, firm, business, agency or organization. We may contact you by telephone or e-mail if we encounter a problem with your order. We do e-mail recent customers, on a random basis, to make sure that they are pleased with the products and service they have received from us. Although we are not doing so at present, we may in the future send a quarterly postcard or other mailing (such as an e-mail or flyer) to past customers about special offers, or to invite them to re-visit our website. You can shop in the privacy of your home or office using our catalog to place your orders on-line. The E.S.C.A.P.E. Company takes your security seriously. We have put many safeguards into our electronic store so that you can enjoy your shopping experience - without having to worry about credit card transactions. Our secure shopping system is made up of three layers.
We normally ship orders within 48 hours of receipt, and make every effort to ship them the same day. We use U.S. Priority Mail (usual 2-3 day delivery time) for shipments within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses, and airmail for overseas orders. We use Parcel Post (usual 5-7 day delivery time) for very heavy orders shipped within the US. We can ship via Express (overnight) Mail by special request, but your shipping costs will be substantially higher. We will use UPS only if you absolutely demand it, and your shipping rates will be higher since it is such a pain to use. Orders shipped outside the U.S will be charged actual shipping costs (if you would like to be informed of and approve these charges before shipment, just let us know in the "Comments" section of the order form, and see the note below). Do not ask us to ship items via UPS or FedEx to any foreign country, it will not happen. This table shows our shipping rates within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses, which are based on the total dollar amount of your order.
Sales tax at the rate of 6.6% is charged only to orders being shipped to an address in the state of Missouri (except that gift certificates are never charged tax). Shipments to any other state or country are not charged sales tax. *Please note that shipments to foreign countries may require you to pay duty or import taxes on certain items, so please check with your local postal authorities to find out if this is the case. Also, we cannot be responsible for delays caused by Customs officials.
